About the Role:
Based in Geelong, this 12-month assignment offers the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team, engaging with individuals with disabilities, their families, carers, and community stakeholders. You’ll play a key role in event coordination, stakeholder communication, and supporting engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate, inform, and collaborate with mainstream services to improve participant experiences.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support effective engagement.
- Represent the agency at external forums and events, providing information to participants and the wider community.
- Support planning, coordination, and delivery of face-to-face, virtual, and hybrid events, ensuring accessibility requirements are met.
- Draft accessible engagement plans, reports, and key documents for presentations and consultations.
- Track, monitor, and report on meetings and events.
- Manage shared inbox enquiries, allocating and providing timely responses.
- Take meeting notes and draft summaries to support team operations.
- Provide technical and administrative support for virtual, hybrid, and in-person meetings.
Key Skills Required:
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A calm and cheerful approach in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in meeting notes, drafting summaries, and document preparation.
- Strong event coordination skills, from planning to post-event evaluation.
- Experience working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working in government.
- Procurement experience.
- Coordinating meetings, workshops, and schedules.
- Managing budgets and payments.
