how does the bonus work?
Teachers & Educators will accrue $1 for every ordinary* hour of work up until 28/06/2024. This will then be tallied up and paid out by 26/07/2024.
NB: *ordinary hours are regular working hours that are not classified as overtime
example 1: Amy Smith works 30 ordinary hours in one week - Amy will be paid 30 hours x $1 = $30 to be paid as a bonus by 26/07/2024.
example 2: Amy Smith works 30 ordinary hours, 1 hour of overtime 1.5 and 0.5 hours of double time - as the bonus is paid only on ordinary hours Amy would be paid a $30 bonus. -
who is eligible?
All professionals working within Early Childhood and OSHC through Randstad (you must work in an Early Learning/OSHC Centre).

when is this paid?
We endeavour to have everything finalised to be paid by 26/07/2024. The final cut off for working hours will be 28/06/2024. In order to ensure you receive your bonus for all of your hours worked, you must submit all timesheets by Sunday 30th June before 6pm. Any late timesheets will not be counted in the bonus calculation.

what if a teacher or educator continues working after the cut off?
If a Teacher or Educator works after 28/06/2024 those hours will not be accrued for your bonus payment.

what if a teacher or educator resigns from randstad before the bonus payment due date?
They must notify us immediately, however the payment will still be in line with the scheme and will be paid by the 26th July 2024.

what if a teacher or educator goes permanent with a randstad client?
They must notify us immediately, however the payment will still be in line with the scheme and will be paid by the 26th July 2024.

The bonus will be paid in accordance with your tax obligations.

will superannuation be paid on the bonus?
Yes, Superannuation will be paid on the bonus.

can randstad remove the bonus scheme?
Yes, we have the right to stop the bonus scheme at any time, however if we do we will make sure to pay out the bonus owing.

is the teacher or educator able to keep accruing the bonus, opting not to pay out when scheduled, and choose an alternative payout time at a later stage?
No - the cash bonus will be paid out as scheduled and reset at the allocated time.

can a teacher or educator opt not to take part in this scheme and receive the $1 every hour instead?
No - this is a bonus scheme created to encourage and reward the hard work of all our casual Teachers and Educators.
