frequently asked questions.
-
where do you gather your data from?
Our data is sourced directly from candidates during the placement process. This data is then validated using the employer-reported data that we collect, directly through the employer's HRIS. Lastly, we purchase the most current compensation survey reports from well-recognised, reputable compensation consulting firms, which we use to further validate our data sets.
-
how often do you update your data?
Our numbers are real-time because we collect new candidate-reported and employer-reported data every day. From this information, we update the market pay rates on a monthly basis.
-
what is your process when deriving market pay rates?
Our state-of-the-art process benchmarks and analyses jobs that build on professional industry standards. We take into account the statistical reliability and age of each data point, the robustness of the data within each data point and the industry, geography, or company size factors. Most importantly, we use a proprietary job evaluation technology capable of determining the value of a job based on its scope and critical responsibilities.
-
how do you accurately map jobs?
Reporting accurate market pay rates depends on our ability to categorise job titles, companies, skills, industries and other compensable factors into relevant groups. We use internal taxonomies and external data sources that we map with our taxonomies to ensure accurate mapping.
