...The Role
Reporting to the Director of Project Management, this crucial role involves overseeing the successful and timely delivery of high-value capital works projects. The successful candidate will:
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, exhibiting excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Manage multi-disciplinary project teams effectively, demonstrating leadership and motivational capabilities.
- Facilitate procurement processes and manage contracts efficiently, highlighting expertise in various procurement methods.
- Oversee project approvals and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, demonstrating a thorough understanding of government policies and procedures.
- Utilize monitoring systems and prepare comprehensive project reports, showcasing proficiency in project reporting and documentation.
- Provide regular briefings to senior management and government officials, demonstrating clear and concise communication.
- Assist in fee determination and client billing, highlighting strong financial acumen.
- Prepare comprehensive procurement documentation, including tender packages.
- Apply expertise in Managing Contractor (MC) contract models.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in project management, ideally within the public sector. Essential skills and experience include:
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, on time and within budget.
- Experience with various procurement methods.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project reporting and documentation.
- Understanding of relevant government policies and procedures.
- Previous experience working on secure facility projects
- A current Open Class C Driver's Licence (Queensland) or equivalent.
- Criminal history check prior to appointment
