Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely data entry into our system.
- Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
- Process payments and issue receipts, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Accurately process medical claims for Medicare, private health funds, and other third-party insurers.
- Review and reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve billing issues.
- Submit claims, follow up on outstanding payments, and address any rejected claims.
- Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely coding and billing.
- Assist patients with billing inquiries and payment plans, as necessary.
- Manage phone lines, answer inquiries, and schedule appointments.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in medical billing and/or medical reception (Desirable).
- Knowledge of medical billing software and Medicare procedures (Desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, billing codes, and regulations (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office and medical practice management software.
Please note to be successful in the role the candidate will need to meet the below criteria:
- Proof of COVID vaccination – 3 doses
- 2x Professional References
- Must be willing to work ONSITE all 5 days.
