We are seeking an experienced and motivated Asset Planner to support the Rolling Capital Works Program through our Project Management Office (PMO) and Framework (PMF). This role is vital in ensuring the effective planning, delivery, and management of Council assets, contributing to a sustainable and well-maintained community infrastructure.

- Project Coordination: Assist the Team Leader in developing and delivering the Rolling Capital Works Program, ensuring integration with other asset coordinators and team leaders for cohesive project planning.
- Operational Planning: Contribute to Council's Delivery Program, Operational Plan, and Unit Plan as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Procurement Support: Participate in procurement processes, including assessment panels and acting as a subject matter expert.
- Drawing Review: Review and approve draft and preliminary construction drawings to ensure compliance with scope, budgets, and relevant standards.
- Policy Development: Prepare and maintain policies, guidelines, and standard drawings for asset categories, providing expert advice to stakeholders.
- Grant Management: Prepare grant applications and ensure compliance with reporting obligations to external authorities.
- Asset Management: Support asset prioritisation modelling, update Asset Management Plans, and assist with cyclic condition assessments.
- Customer Requests: Investigate and respond to customer requests, recommending inclusion in capital works programs or initiating maintenance as required.
- Community Engagement: Participate in community consultations for capital works projects in collaboration with other departments.
- Consultant Engagement: Prepare project briefs, deliverables, and contract documentation for consultant engagement.
- Documentation and Reporting: Draft presentations, correspondence, reports, and issue papers as required.
- Collaborative Delivery: Work with other departments to achieve Council's objectives.
- Customer Service Excellence: Promote a culture of exceptional customer service and continuous improvement within the team.
- Development Advice: Provide infrastructure-related advice on development applications.
- General Support: Assist other Units/Teams within the City Assets Department and undertake other tasks and projects as needed.
About You:
You are an experienced asset planner with a strong understanding of infrastructure project delivery and asset management principles. You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are committed to excellence in customer service and community engagement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in asset management, engineering, project management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in capital works project planning and delivery.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and relevant standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prepare technical documentation, policies, and reports.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
