We are currently recruiting for a Full Time position working Monday to Friday Occupational Therapist - Health Professional 2 to join our Allied Health team and be responsible for conducting skilled clinical assessments and delivering individual and group based Occupational Therapy interventions to people and facilitate group programs through the Therapeutic Group Program. The successful applicant will also be required to undertake professional development and clinical supervision, participate in quality initiatives, and contribute to multidisciplinary team processes.

- Provide appropriate and safe Occupational Therapy clinical assessment and interventions with the aim of increasing an individual’s ability to live as independently as possible while engaging in meaningful and productive life roles and to build confidence and self- esteem through the use of purposeful activity. Assessment and intervention include, but is not limited to:
- Facilitating the development of skills needed for independent living such as using community resources, managing one’s home, managing time, managing medications, and being safe at home and in the community.
- Providing training in activities of daily living (eg hygiene and grooming)
- Provide educational programs, experiential learning, and treatment groups or classes to address assertiveness, self- awareness, interpersonal and social skills, stress management, and role development.
- Working with clients to develop leisure interests and pursuits.
- Providing evaluation and treatment for sensory processing deficits
- Include carers, children and Nominated Persons, GPs, and other service providers in the recovery planning process, as required.
- Liaise with external community agencies and service providers as required.
